5 Reasons returns to No Static with new single 'Nitelights'.
'Nitelights' is the second release on No Static Recordings from Nu-Disco producer 5 Reasons after his 2013 release 'Miami Sunset'.
The Russian producer effortlessly blends analog and digital, live instruments and programmed synths and percussion, to create lush sonic landscapes. His skillful manipulation of rhythm, learned no doubt during his first years as a musician making hip hop beats for independent artists, shines through in his poppy approach to funk and disco.
'Nitelights' opens with an addictive funk groove that leads into an airy, stripped down, synth pop-influenced break, while 'Treasure' is more subdued throughout with its subtle jazz influence and comparatively muted drum section. The two tracks compliment each other excellently and 5 Reasons' ability to mix upbeat groove with brooding melody and harmony is noteworthy.
